Chinet

I got the opportunity to design a book edition of scientific publications by the Department of Sinology at Palacky University in Olomouc.

I created a few landscape illustrations to use as the basis of book covers. Due to the topic, I used Chinese ink to make the illustrations. I used a technique typical for watercolour painting, wet-on-wet. The book title and the author’s name are set to the centre of the format.

I like this project because of its balance and the unity of the publications’ art forms and their texts.
